Noodles

So, last weekend I saw the new Karate Kid with some of my friends. It is an awesome movie and recommend that everyone see it. It had the perfect, very inspirational ending that I just love! Towards the beginning of the movie, Jackie Chan was eating noodles. For the rest of the night I was craving them! They just looked so good and it just got worse as the movie progressed. I thought this might be a little odd, but one of my friends thought the same thing. She wanted noodles too. The only other time I have craved noodles is when I watched Kung Fu Panda. What is it about kung fu and China that makes me want to eat noodles? Haha

would it matter?

Would it matter if this format was different?  She asks…

I do not like this Sam I am

I do not like having to go into comments to see comments – spam!

I liked the old page better – kabam.

There you have it – spam, kabam.

You can call me Dr. Sleus.  Just don’t call me late for dinner.  hahahahahaha

Thing 2:  posting a comment was easier before.

Random thoughts

Wow! I hadn’t looked at the family page for a few days because, well, you know, it hasn’t been that exciting lately! It was so fun to read everyone’s comments. I am excited for Abby. Jealous of Angeles that at least she gets to be with Abby (and everyone else) for Thanksgiving. Nervous in my stomach for Maren (but confident that she can do it!) Laughing at Katy’s comment on the three buildings on campus. Wanting to know more about Loyd’s school. Wishing that I could be there when Chris returns the dutch oven to Quin. I just love my family. I miss you all. If we could drum up a wedding, could any of you come down for it? (Not trying to make any announcement. Just wishful thinking.

College

I started my first day of college today and it was great. I was a little nervous because I had no idea where my classes were or what to do… but it wasn’t bad at all. I think this semester will be awesome. I miss everyone back home though! I wish I could be there to see Reed run cross country, Charles and Kevin play soccer, and go to Grandma and Grandpa’s for Sunday dinners. I hope everyone is doing well!!

After months and months of not posting on the website (because I couldn’t figure out how to do it, I lost my password, and it’s harder than the old website – AND because I’m kinda slow at this) I’m posting my first comment.  I’m not even sure I’m doing this correctly.  There’s not even a button to “POST” the comment.  Am I on the right page?  How do I post to the family webpage from here?  If this gets on there, it’ll be a miracle.

Cancel that…

Over-prepared for Contracts today (I thought). But…everything was totally over my head. I spent the majority of class praying that the prof wouldn’t call my name. She didn’t. There were many other poor students that had to struggle through that. I wasn’t sure if I had read the correct pages, or if she was going from some other book. We had read the right cases, but it seemed she had a totally different structure. hahahaha. My first scary experience as a 1L. Woo

I made it through my first day of law school! I think I over-prepared for class because I was so paranoid…and the teachers didn’t even end up asking random students questions. So I will continue to over-prepare because I know they’re just waiting to slam a question on an unexpecting student (which I feel will be me very soon).

Bryce’s last posted letter was August 7th!!  We miss the weekly posting!  REPENT!

Sequoia National Park

We just got back from Sequoia National Park with Chris, Nancy, the boys, and some of Nancy’s family. It was such a great time… and those trees were just huge and amazing. We posted a ton of photos on our blog and my blog.

Thanks to Chris and Nancy for inviting us!
